May 10 Event at DiamondJacks Casino and Hotel Will Recognize Star Employees in Tourism and Hospitality Industry
SHREVEPORT-BOSSIER, LA – The Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau is seeking nominations for the 2012 P.R.I.D.E. Awards from businesses and organizations involved in Shreveport-Bossier’s tourism and hospitality industry. The P.R.I.D.E. Awards are held annually during the month of May, which is Tourism Awareness Month, to recognize star employees in more than 20 categories, ranging from Outstanding Valet to Outstanding Hotel Executive. The 2012 P.R.I.D.E. Awards dinner will be held 6-9 p.m., Thursday, May 10 at DiamondJacks Casino and Hotel. “P.R.I.D.E.” stands for “Proud Residents Involved in Developing Our Economy.”
Nomination forms or more information may be requested by contacting event organizer Kathy Melancon at (318) 429-0654 or by visiting www.shreveport-bossier.org and entering “Star Employees” into the search field (or by clicking here). Nomination forms will be accepted through 5 p.m., Friday, April 20. Completed forms may be returned by fax to (318) 222-0056 or e-mail to email@example.com. There is no cost to nominate employees. Businesses may nominate two employees per category. Cost to attend the awards dinner is $35 per person; the top three nominees in each category may attend the dinner free of charge, courtesy of the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau.
