According to police reports, a horrific tragedy befell a group of campers in April of 1976. The Foursome went hiking in the woods off of Highway 1, on the outskirts of Shreveport, La. When the campers didn’t return home, loved ones filed missing person’s reports to local police. After months of searching with no results, the case was deemed an unsolved mystery and locked away in police archives.
Over the next 18 months, dozens of individuals were reported missing, all linked to the same remote area north of Shreveport. Police and search teams scoured the region, but yet again turned up with nothing. Several months later, officials received a call about a domestic disturbance at an old farmhouse that belonged to the Edwards’ family. When the family refused to cooperate, police forcibly entered the home. The result was one of the bloodiest shootouts in Louisiana history.
Upon investigation of the farmhouse, police discovered the tortured bodies of several of the missing people. The Edwards’ were taken to trial, convicted of their crimes, and were placed in an insane asylum. Somehow, the Edwards’ managed to escape and have evaded police for over 30 years.
Recent sightings have placed the Edwards in the heart of Shreveport. Many believe the family is back to unleash their terror on anyone who happens upon their land. Do you dare?
