LEAD group to Host Leadership Symposium
Shreveport-Bossier, La. - The LSUS-Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) program will host the Louisiana Character and Leadership Development Symposium (LCLDS) Thursday, November 5, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Shreveport Convention Center. The conference will include panel discussions and speakers illustrating real world examples of leadership and character.
The LCLDS is a public educational and inspirational conference meant to illustrate and promote character and leadership. Speakers encompass a diverse group of veteran leaders from the military, government, community development, education, business and religious faith. Guest speakers will include: Commander Scott Waddle, U.S.N (ret.); Mack McCarter; George Moore, Jr.; Colonel Kelly Murray, M.D. U.S. Army; and Major General Floyd Carpenter, U.S.A.F. There will also be panels entitled "Character, Leadership, and Women" and "Character, Leadership, and Religion."
