Celebrities to Support Kidney Disease Awareness During

Celebrity Weekend hosted by Stromile Swift and the Swift Foundation

Shreveport, La. – Stromile Swift and The Swift Foundation will host the inaugural Swift Foundation Celebrity Weekend from Thursday, June 25 – Sunday, June 28. The weekend will commence with the Marathon for Mary, raising awareness for individuals struggling with kidney-related issues. Marathon for Mary is in loving memory of Mary Swift, Stromile's mother, who recently passed away after a long battle with kidney disease.

In addition to the walk-a-thon, the foundation will host a series of events: a Meet & Greet Casino Night, the Stro Show Bowling Challenge, a Black and Red Affair after party, as well as the Swift Family Fun Day.

Stromile has enlisted the help of his friends to participate in the activities; which includes music industry veterans Master P, Romeo and Silk the Shocker; NBA players Shaquille O'Neal (Phoenix Suns), Vince Carter (New Jersey Nets), Josh Howard and Brandon Bass (Dallas Mavericks), Rudy Gay, O.J. Mayo (Memphis Grizzlies), Kyle Lowry (Houston Rockets), Earl Watson (Oklahoma Thunder); and NFL player Ronnie Prude (Atlanta Falcons).

Proceeds will benefit Swift Foundation's charitable efforts and the National Kidney Foundation of Louisiana.

Anyone know any famous or spokespersons on home dialysis? We are putting together a new organization to reach and advovate home dialysis and would like all the help we can to get started off. Just email nxstageusers@nxstageusers.com
Starting off can be pretty expensive and it seems no one wants to make donations, even our own members...
thanks
