Shreveport-Bossier, La. - Immerse yourself in Cajun heritage by paying homage to a cherished Louisiana tradition - the crawfish boil! This year’s Mudbug Madness Festival promises to be the granddaddy of them all, serving up all the sights, smells and sounds that are Louisiana, May 21-24.

Located at Downtown Shreveport’s Festival Plaza, enjoy all the crawfish you can eat while the three entertainment stages dish out a veritable gumbo of Cajun, Zydeco, Blues and Jazz from favorite local and regional artists.

Popular headliners set to perform this year are Wayne Toups on Thursday, May 21; Rockin’ Dopsie on Saturday, May 23; and Louisiana’s LeRoux, which will perform on the Swamp Stage on Saturday, May 23.

The festival is proud to host Grammy Award winning artist Terrance Simien & the Zydeco Experience, on Sunday, May 24. Also performing are area favorites the Red River Playboys on Sunday, May 24, and Professor Porkchop & the Dirty Dishes on Sunday, May 24, among many others.

This Memorial Day weekend, join in the raucous contests for all ages, play in the huge children’s area and discover authentic Louisiana crafts. Both comical and engaging, the competitions planned for this year’s festival include youth, adult crawfish eating contests, crawfish calling contents and more.

"This is the 11th year in a row that CenterPoint has been the title sponsor of the Mudbug Madness Festival" said Melanie Bacon, executive director of Downtown Shreveport Unlimited, from which the festival was born in 1984. "Through the years, festival organizers remain dedicated to the original premise of Mudbug Madness: provide a downtown venue where everybody has a good time celebrating Louisiana’s rich Cajun heritage."

This year’s musical line up and whimsical competitions promise to be an exciting, mouth-watering, foot-stomping good time!

Admission is $3 at the gate. For the entertainment schedule or more information about the Mudbug Madness Festival contact Melanie Bacon at (318) 222-7403 or visit their website at www.mudbugmadness.com.

Aw, this was a really quality post. In theory I'd like to write like this too - taking time and real effort to make a good article... but what can I say... I procrastinate alot and never seem to get something done.

I am not much of a guy who thinks in so deeply about web design but I think your post had some valid points in it. Like designers are forced to design stuff within the limited code available and not go beyond it, their innovation is somewhat limited but still I think Web Design won't die! I agree that Amazon and other some big sites won't have a blog but now a days it's very important to have some sort of option available so people can quickly communicate their thoughts. I think Amazon if wants to shift it to that, they can get a customized CMS for themselves.

I personally have embraced the new technologies and the CMS platforms, I think the new tools only make the web designs better. I am glad that new technologies are coming out in web design that make things easier, improved, and better looking for design.
