Conveniently located just down the way from the Municipal will be two events you won’t want to pass up. The ASEANA Foundation will host their annual Spring Arts Festival in the Asian Gardens located at Common Street and Texas Avenue, beginning at 9 a.m., Saturday, April 30. This year, they will highlight Filipino culture. The festival will include Filipino cuisine, folk dances and games, as well as a presentation of the traditional Santa Cruzan parade, meaning “Holy Cross”. The ASEANA Spring Arts Festival has been growing every year.

Across the street, the Texas Avenue Maker’s Fair will be taking place at the very same time. Crafters and Artisans from all over the area will present their crafts and goodies from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Between 80-100 vendors will be present at the event that promotes the Texas Avenue Community Association’s mission of community interest along the historic Texas Avenue corridor.
