Buttercups Cupcakes will be featured on Food Network Tuesday, March 1 @ 8 p.m.
Shreveport Bossier’s own Kim Wood, owner of Buttercups Cupcakes will compete on Food Network’s ‘Cupcake Wars’ airing at 8p.m. tonight. The self-made cupcake connoisseur began selling her confectionary treats through Cush’s Grocery & Market several years ago, and gained recognition when actress Katie Holmes became a fan while filming Mad Money here in Shreveport in 2007.
Since then, Wood who is sometimes referred to as ‘the cupcake lady’ has opened two store locations at the Villagio in Bossier and the Shoppes at Bellemead in Shreveport. Each batch is made from scratch and hand decorated daily. There are 18 flavors to choose from including red velvet, peanut butter and blueberry muffin.
