A promotional snap of the Hubble Space Telescope Traveling Exhibition opening this Friday, June 28 at Sci-Port: Louisiana's Science Center.
While we're on the topic of Sci-Port, the yogurt isn't the only thing that's out-of-this-world at Louisiana's Science Center, located at 820 Clyde Fant Parkway in downtown Shreveport. This Friday, Sci-Port welcomes their latest traveling exhibit, "HUBBLE Space Telescope: New Views of the Universe." For the opening night of this exhibit, 5 p.m.-9 p.m., admission is absolutely FREE. This is a great opportunity for folks who haven't been to Sci-Port lately to rediscover this community gem, or for out-of-town visitors to bring the family to Shreveport-Bossier for an amazing, free night of family fun.
Those of us who live in Shreveport-Bossier can sometimes take Sci-Port for granted, but not every community can boast that they've got a 92,000 square-foot interactive science museum housing 300 hands-on exhibits. If you haven't been lately, come explore Sci-Port with me - I'll be shooting some video to share on our website.
As for the exhibit, I'll let Sci-Port's website do the talking. What am I most excited about? Let's just say they had me at "virtually hit Jupiter with a comet."
P.S. After this one night-only free pass to the exhibit, regular admission fees are reinstated! For big families or group outings, this could be an opportunity to save hundreds or even thousands of dollars.
