Are you shopping for the best trends for summer? I’d like to help by offering up a chance for YOU to win a $25 gift card to the Louisiana Boardwalk.

How to enter to win?

It’s simple: view the new video podcast featuring Ashley Roe, marketing manager at the Louisiana Boardwalk, and post a comment sharing what you love about the shopping center, the best place to dine or another great experience.

On Friday, May 1, we’ll randomly select a winner from those posted comments and announce our winner. And there may just be something in store for other entrants (hint, hint).

The deadline for entries is 11:59 p.m. CST, April 30, 2009. Rules and regulations (removed) apply and can be found here (removed).

We can’t wait to hear from you!

Come and celebrate the art programs and artistic achievements of the students in Caddo and Bossier Parishes at ArtBreak 2009, April 20-26 at the Shreveport Convention Center.

This year Artbreak will commemorate 25 years as the south’s largest student arts festival with a special performance by ArtBreak’s Honorary Chairman, Kenny Wayne Shepard.

Shepard will perform with select students in a free concert, Saturday, April 25 at 5 p.m.

The ArtBreak Festival will feature an exhibit of more than 2,500 visual art pieces, literary writings and musical compositions from more than 100 schools. Also, multi-disciplinary art activities will be taught by professional artists.

Performing arts programs and outstanding student talents will be showcased on three continuous stages throughout the convention center.

Admission to ArtBreak is free and open to all ages. The Shreveport Convention Center will provide concession booths with special "kid friendly" menus and pricing.

There is plenty of free parking surrounding the Shreveport Convention Center and a free "Yellow Bus Trolley" to the convention center will be available.
