JUST ANNOUNCED: DIRECTOR & SCREENWRITER ROD LURIE TO SCREEN & DISCUSS NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH

The Robinson Film Center will host director and screenwriter, Rod Lurie, for a screening and discussion of his 2008 drama, Nothing But the Truth, starring Kate Beckinsale, Matt Dillon, Vera Farmiga, Angela Bassett and Alan Alda, on Sunday, September 27 at 7:00 PM. Written and directed by Mr. Lurie, Nothing But the Truth is a thriller set in Washington, D.C., which tells the story of a female reporter (Beckinsale) who faces a possible jail sentence for revealing the identity of a CIA agent (Farmiga) and refusing to identify her source.
Mr. Lurie is currently in north Louisiana directing the film Straw Dogs, which stars Kate Bosworth, James Marsden, Alexander Skarsgård and Academy Award-nominee James Woods. Among Mr. Lurie's other credits are The Contender (starring Academy Award-nominee Joan Allen, Jeff Bridges and Gary Oldman), Resurrecting the Champ (starring Samuel L. Jackson and Josh Hartnett), The Last Castle (starring Academy Award-winner Robert Redford and Mark Ruffalo), and the popular television series "Commander in Chief" starring Academy Award-winner Geena Davis.
